Giants reportedly seeking Ryan Braun in trade with Brewers

every team But trade rumors surrounding left fielder Braun and catcher Jonathan Lucroy already had prompted Brewers general manager David Stearns to address the issue Sunday on  Network Radio."There's no need for us to move … an elite-level player," Stearns told the network, via .com.  Braun, 32, is off to his best start in several years, with 11 home runs and slash line of .316/.378/.541. Giants outfielders have combined for only 15 home runs all season, and seven of those belong to Hunter Pence, who is expected to be out almost two months with a hamstring injury.Though the Giants are in first place in the NL West, Braun's power could be a key asset the rest of the regular season and if they make the playoffs. This would be more than a half-season rental, too, as Braun is under contract through 2020, although he's still owed a hefty guaranteed salary of almost $100 million.Meanwhile, various reports cited the Cubs, Mets and Rays as having expressed interest in Lucroy.
