You knew it was only a matter of time before Shaquille O'Neal weighed in on the D’Angelo Russell-Nick Young drama.

The former Lakers center said he didn’t think Russell purposely outted his teammate for cheating, calling it an "accident."

"The youngsters are so big into getting followers, whatever the hell that means," O’Neal said on an upcoming episode of THE BIG Podcast with Shaq. "I’ve got 20 million followers, and I still don’t really know what that means. But the youngsters are so interested in getting followers to make them feel important. He wasn’t even thinking about it."

O’Neal knows a thing or two about having a beef with teammates — just ask Kobe Bryant. But O'Neal doesn't think Russell had malicious intent. However, if he had been in Young's shoes, things might have gone down differently.
