NBA Basketball

When Kobe Bryant entered the league, he was the youngest player to ever play in an NBA game at 18 years and 72 days (that record has since been broken). He's been grinding ever since, and will play in his 20th season next year.

In his 19 years of experience, Bryant has seen a lot. Most recently, he watched Stephen Curry and the Warriors defeat the Cavs in the NBA Finals Tuesday. The Lakers legend took to Twitter Wednesday to congratulate the team, and in the process discovered just how long he's been playing.

The vet Bryant is referring to is LeBron James. The Cavs forward entered the league when he was 18 years old, like Kobe, and has had plenty of success since joining. James has admitted in the past that he looked up to Bryant as a youngster and had posters of him on his wall.

The player Bryant knew as a preteen is likely Klay Thompson. Thompson's father, Mychal, played on the Lakers at the end of his playing career and then became a radio color commentator for the team after retirement. Thompson was around Bryant as a kid and is now one of the top shooting guards in the NBA.

It really is pretty crazy how Bryant is able to say he's s

een these players grown up into big names in the NBA while he's still playing.
