Prior to the start of free agency, several players on the Heat roster made it known that their return to Miami could be contingent on LeBron James' free-agency decision. While Chris Bosh was the biggest name to do so, Ray Allen also is one of them.

The Cavaliers, who made a three-team trade to clear salary-cap space for James, are well aware of that. Cleveland appears to be playing its full hand with James nearing his decision, a hand that includes making a run at Allen.

According to Chris Broussard of, the Cavaliers have expressed interest in Allen as part of their continued pursuit of James.

James reached out to two veterans about joining him if he were to leave Miami, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Mike Miller, who is now

being pursued by the Cavaliers, was among those players. Cleveland's pursuit of Miller was first reported by Broussard.
