Because Lakers guard Kobe Bryant will sit out of the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday as he works to return from

a fractured tibia in his left leg, the Rockets' James Harden will get the starter nod, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Harden was chose by Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks, who will coach the Western Conference. Harden played for Brooks for three seasons before being traded to the Rockets.

Bryant's spot on the roster was taken by New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis, who will represent the host city.

Originally, Bryant and the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry were voted in as starters for the Western Conference. Other starters in the game include Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and Kevin Love.
